I just got back from Las Vegas where prices and casinos are going up everywhere. Long gone are the days when the Mob was willing to give out all kinds of freebies in an effort to WIN your money. Now the corporate owned casinos just simply TAKE your money at every turn. I have heard from a very trusted source that the current corporate strategy is to raise ALL prices 5% every year until there is push back. My observation is that prices are going up faster than that but there is also no push back whatsoever. The town is packed every day and night so the corporate greed is not slowing down Vegas visitors even a little bit.

Other than taking in a Willie Nelson concert my trip was over very quickly. My thoughts on the drive over were that I was going to wager on the Chiefs and the Forty Niners to win the Super Bowl. Thursday night’s injury to the KC QB pushed me in a different direction. I feel the only real threat to New England returning to the Super Bowl as the AFC representative is or was Andy Reid and his boys in red. I was willing to give Coach Reid time to fix his porous defense but now with Mahomes’ future in doubt I instead chose to wager on two teams that I think can stand toe to toe with Belichick, Brady and company.

All three of my plays were made at the Westgate. I put 400 units on San Francisco to win the NFC Championship at odds of 5 to 1. I also put 400 units on the same to win Super Bowl LIII at 10 to 1 odds.  My back up wager was 200 units on the Saints to win the Super Bowl at odds of 7 to 1. I am of the belief that the injury to Drew Brees may be a blessing in disguise. He looked tired in the playoffs last year so his time off might benefit the Saints in the long run. After watching both the Niners and the Saints yesterday I feel we will be in the hunt for both an NFC title and maybe even a Super Bowl win. Thanks for logging in and good luck the rest of the football season.
