Wiz Scores On Clemson Tigers
0After listening to Dabo Swinney share the details of his sightseeing tour of San Francisco last week it was very apparent to this writer that he does not come to California very often if at all. After the thrashing he and his team gave the Crimson Tide on Monday I don’t think he is going to be invited back very soon especially by any of the weak Pac 12 teams. I am not into politics but how in the world Larry Scott continues to be the commissioner of the west coast edition of power 5 football is beyond me. He refuses to partner with a network as the other conferences have done thus leaving millions of dollars in television revenue on the table. Dollars that would help provide funds to hire better coaches and bring state of the art facilities to all Pac 12 members. Instead he continues to say the conference will be better off owning 100% of their Pac 12 network. Someone should tell him his network is not on Directv and that his home games start between 10:00PM and 11:00PM east coast time. Amongst other things today’s pampered spoiled athletes want are national exposure and top rate facilities. I believe the Pac 12 will continue to slide down the competitive ladder under his direction and all the west coast fans better get used to not participating in the college playoffs.
Clemson was a great win especially after losing both 25/1 Super Bowl wagers (Ravens & Bears) on Saturday. We still have both #1 seeds alive with the Chiefs at 6/1 odds and the Saints at 9/1. While we keep a very close watch on this weekend’s NFL playoff games it is also now the time to turn our attention to the NHL, NBA and March Madness. I will be making my annual winter trip to Sin City next week to shop for odds on those three future propositions. Of course I will also take time to stop by the Union Plaza to pick up that Tiger money. If you are playing along with me on the futures check back on Martin Luther King Day to see who I like in hoops and hockey. Good luck and thanks for logging in.
