SF Giants Disappoint but MLB Still Profitable Wiz’s NFL Picks Are In
0After the San Francisco Giants failed us at 50 to 1 we still managed to have a profitable 2021 MLB season. I faded the Giants in game five of the divisional round to assure a profit in the National League. In the ALCS I had both the Red Sox (10/1) and the eventual winning Astros at (13/1) so we ended the season a little disappointed but with a nice profit (See May 11th,2021 Post). For the record the Astros are my pick to win this year’s World Series but I will not be laying the heavy juice (-145 at this post).
I just returned from my annual October trip to Sin City where I placed this year’s NFL Futures wagers.
Below are my picks to win the Super Bowl next February:
- Cardinals 9/1 200 units to win 1,800 units
- Rams 9/1 200 units to win 1,800 units
- Cowboys 8/1 200 units to win 1,600 units
- Ravens 10/1 200 units to win 2,000 units
- Bills 6/1 400 units to win 2,400 units
Two observations from this year’s visit were that the Chiefs were still the favorites despite their awful numbers and that the difference in odds from sports book to sports book continues to shrink. I believe the latter is because there is growing interest in playing the futures and book directors can now easily check online what their competitors are posting. Either way there are still many opportunities to make money playing the futures in sports.
Thanks for logging in and best of luck if you are betting the games but remember to save a little something to put on the futures.
