September Records of Cards and Royals Have The Wiz Worried

Well the field is set for the 2015 edition of the MLB Playoffs and we have the #1 seeds in both leagues. My post on May 15th told you of my 200 unit wagers each on the Royals and Cardinals to win their pennants both at 5 to 1 odds. I also wagered 100 units on the Royals to win the World Series at 8 ½ to 1 odds and the Cardinals at 13 to 1 odds. That is the good news….now for the bad news. Teams with losing records from September 1st on have only been able to win ONLY one of the last 13 World Championships. The Royals and Cardinals both staggered home with the Royals going 15-17 and the Cards going 15-16. Both teams have injuries and pitching staffs that look spent. My wish is that they both can get through the Divisional round of the playoffs and I can then make a decision as whether to go against them or not in the best of seven AL-NL Championship round. I will be in Sin City next week “investing” in the Super Bowl futures so the opportunity will be there. I will let you know what I did in this space on Friday, October 16th as well as my picks for Super Bowl 50 and at which sports book I found the best odds.
