Red Sox and Cardinals Make MLB Season a Winning One!
0The Red Sox and Cardinals both came through in game six of the LCS round of the playoffs making my MLB season a big winner. Below are the picks I posted in my May 4, 2013 blog:
To Win the National League Pennant
• 200 units on the Braves at 4/1 Odds -200 Units
• 50 units on the Cardinals at 8/1 Odds +400 Units
• 50 units on the Rockies at 30/1 Odds – 50 Units
To Win the American League Pennant
• 200 units on the Red Sox at 81/2 to 1Odds +1700 Units
• 100 units on the Rangers at 8/1 Odds -100 Units
To Win the World Series
• 100 units on the Red Sox at 17/1 Odds To be determined
So going into the World Series we are 1,750 units ahead with a live ticket on the favored Red Sox (-125) at 17 to 1 for another 100 units or a potential profit of 3,450 for the season. Once again not only does playing the futures pay off but also it proves it pays to shop. My wagering chart shows that the only place offering the Red Sox at 8 ½ on the day I bet them (May 2, 2013) was The Stratosphere. The next best odds in town were 7 to 1 and some books had them as low as 4 to 1. The Cardinals on the other hand were only 5 to 1 at The Stratosphere but I was able to wager on them at 8 to 1 at The El Cortez downtown. The Redbirds were also as low as 4 to 1 in numerous books that day. I like my position on the Sox given that since 1980 the team with the home field advantage in the World Series has gone 26-6 82% winners. I know many of you prefer to try and beat the books on a game by game basis but you might want to put part of your bankroll aside and go on a futures ride with The Wiz’s FREE future picks. I will have a football update and my NHL picks right after the World Series. Thanks for logging on!
