Pitino and Company Come Through At 8 to 1

Rick Pitino and Louisville gave us an early fright but came through down the stretch to make our NCAA Basketball futures season a winning one. I wagered 100 units on the Cardinals at 8 to 1 in mid-January. My total futures investment was 550 units so a return of 900 units is a 64% ROI in less than three months or a 256% annual return. Find me a bank in any country that pays that kind of interest. Plus we had the fun of watching one of the teams we backed work their way through the ups and downs of March Madness. I must admit when Ware went down I thought the Redbirds might be in trouble and again last night when they handed Michigan a twelve point lead late in the first half. Then along comes Cool Hand Luke (Holland) to save the day by scoring nine points in the span of 90 seconds as the first half wound down. Love him or hate him you have to admit Coach Pitino sure knows what he is doing and for all of us who had him at 8 to 1 he is our hero for the day. Now it’s back to Las Vegas at the end of the month to pick up our Cardinal money and to place our MLB future wagers, The REALLY good news is that we will be doing so with the House’s money.
