NHL Futures and BCS Update

As promised below are this year’s NHL Futures plays of only 20 units each:

• Islanders 30/1
• Maple Leafs 20/1
• Kings 10/1

Win, lose or draw I take no credit whatsoever for these picks since I barely know the rules under which hockey is played. I did however cash in on the Blackhawks at 11 to 1 odds last year thanks to my hockey-wise buddy Dave B.

BCS Update

Well we are down to one bullet with our BCS Championship plays but it is a dangerous bullet indeed. Our Florida State Seminoles have moved into the #2 position in the latest BCS Standings. I wagered 100 units on five teams last July (USC 50/1, Texas 30/1, South Carolina 25/1, Oregon 7/1 and the Seminoles at 25/1). Thus I am down 400 units after Oregon’s loss to Stanford last week. I was hoping Alabama would lose to LSU and set up am Oregon (7/1) versus Florida State (25/1) all Wiz pick match up on January 6th. As we all know so well nothing in this game goes just as you think it will but that’s what makes playing the futures so much fun.
