College Football Plays and Late MLB Play
0It is hard to believe but we are less than a month away from football returning to a screen near you. I just got back from Sin City and their 100 degree temperatures and thunder storms. I was there to make my college future plays. I also made a late play on the Astros to win the World Series at odds of 9 to 2. Yes, I know I am going against two of my own self-imposed rules A) Do not accept odds of less than 5/1 and B) Do not invest in teams trying to repeat as champions. My July 4th numbers told me they are the best MLB team in the last ten years and worth a 100 unit play.
In college gridiron I put 300 units on Clemson at odds of 6/1. When I think of champions I think of defense and the Tigers should have one of the best front fours in the nation. Of course Alabama was the heavy favorite in town with only one of the ten sportsbooks I visited posting 3/1 odds. All the rest had the Tide at 2/1 or lower. My second play was 200 units on Ohio State at odds of 6/1 as well. HC Urban Meyer must be one hell of a recruiter because he has another squad full of blue chip players from all over the country. It should be a fun fall in Columbus for Buckeye fans. My last two plays were for 100 units each on Georgia at odds of 8/1 and Washington at 15/1. So my total investment is 700 units on college football. Below I have summarized both my MLB and college football plays:
MLB
- Diamondbacks 200 units at 5/1 to win NL Pennant
- Diamondbacks 100 units at 12/1 to win World Series
- Astros 100 units at 9/2 to win World Series
College Football
- Clemson 300 units at odds of 6/1
- Ohio State 200 units at odds of 6/1
- Georgia 100 units at odds of 8/1
- Washington 100 units at odds of 15/1
For those of you who are interested in playing Clemson I direct you to your local William Hill establishment. They were the only one with 6/1 odds with everyone else at 5/1 or less. Whether you are playing the games or the futures good luck and thanks for checking in.
