Injuries All Part of the Game
0Injuries are part of playing the futures especially in the violent game of football. Sometimes they work in your favor when a key player on an opposing team gets hurt before a crucial game and sometimes they go against you in a big way. The latter happened to us this week with the announcement that the field and inspirational leader of our 9 to 1 Ravens has a torn bicep and is probably gone for the season. Joining #52 on the sidelines is corner back Ladarius Webb with an even more devastating knee injury. This leaves an already depleted Baltimore defense without two of its biggest stars and the outlook for another Super Bowl appearance seems to be fading into the autumn air. The injury factor is one of the big reasons we spread our Super Bowl bankroll around. Our undefeated Falcons (8/1) go into the bye week off a close call with the lowly Oakland Raiders while our top choice the 49ers (5/1) are coming off an absolute home drubbing by the defending champion New York Giants. To all of those who have emailed me about the Niner’s pathetic performance let me remind you that our wager is on which NFL team will be best on the first Sunday in February and that is what makes playing the futures so much fun.
